Sandals Resorts International, parent company of Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts have announced a number of exciting resort debuts and upgrades for 2015.
Sandals Barbados – The long-awaited Sandals Barbados opened January 28, just in time for high season (not to mention, Valentine’s Day). The resort has three distinct villages: Ocean Village, Crystal Lagoon Village and Caribbean Village; a main oceanfront pool with swim-up bar; a river pool accessible from new swim-up suites; and a reflecting pool with signature fire pit. Sandals Barbados also features the company’s first Indian restaurant, Bombay Club, plus wines from a new partnership with Robert Mondavi.
Sandals Ochi Beach Resort – The Ocho Rios, Jamaica resort has relaunched as Sandals Ochi Beach Resort. In addition to new garden and landscaping throughout the resort, there will be a major overhaul to dining and restaurants. Restaurants will include Tapas on the Riviera, a tapas bar; Le Gourmand and Ocean, featuring French cuisine; Vista, a seafood beachside restaurant; The Southern Table, featuring southern soulful cooking; Jerk Shack, featuring casual Jamaican Jerk; The Rabbit Hole, a new speakeasy bar; and Tree House, a deck lounge and bar area. The resort will also debut Popcorn & Palms Cinema, with endless popcorn and movies under the stars.
Sandals Regency La Toc – The two-story Water’s Edge suites at this St. Lucia resort have been renovated. Upgrades include new indoor and outdoor bathrooms with an exterior tub with natural wood accents, as well as new vanities, furnishing, and fabrics.
Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort – Sandals Royal Caribbean will debut five highly anticipated, over-the-water suites on its private island, located just off the beaches of Montego Bay, Jamaica. Each villa will have a glass floor, soaking tub, king-size bed, indoor and outdoor showers, outside dining space, and a built-in hammock over-the water.
Beaches Barbados – The Barbados expansion continues with the addition of a family-friendly Beaches resort in 2016. Located at the site of the former Almond Beach Resort in St. Peter, Beaches Barbados will feature the company’s Discovery Dining program, plus personal butler service and a host of land and water activities.
