A new Margaritaville resort is opening in Mexico’s Riviera Maya this April.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya will be the first adults-only, all-inclusive property for the Island Reserve brand, and features 355 suites within 13 room categories, nine food & beverage locations, three swimming pools, two pickleball courts, a St. Somewhere Spa, the first LandShark Brewery in Mexico, and more.

The new resort is in Puerto Morelos, a beachfront town halfway between Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

A few highlights:

  • Swim-up suites: Guests can book oceanfront swim-up suites with private infinity pools for the ultimate splurge; we also love that all suites feature balconies and patios
  • Mexico’s first LandShark brewery – LandShark Brewery & Grill features food as well as beer brewed onsite; other dining options include Italian at Frank & Lola’s, a Pacific Rim menu at Far Side of the World, a buffet, a steakhouse, and 24-hour room service.
  • Casual cocktails – inspired by Jimmy Buffet’s laid-back lifestyle, resort bars include Salted Rim Margarita Bar & Lounge, License to Chill Bar and swim-up bars

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya also features three pools, a large rooftop terrace for weddings, and plenty of activities ranging from non-motorized water sports to live DJ parties at the pool.

For more information and booking, visit the resort’s website, which currently has introductory rates from $220 per person, per night (a limited-time offer for select travel dates).
