Tulum is getting its own major airport, which means travelers can now book direct flights from the US and Canada. Starting this winter, three big airlines – Spirit Airlines, Delta Airlines, and Aeroméxico are making it easy for people to fly to Tulum.
Here are more details about these new, direct flights that will take you to Tulum without any layovers.
Spirit Airlines
Starting March 28, 2024, Spirit Airlines will begin flying directly from Fort Lauderdale and Orlando to Tulum. With ticket prices starting at $149, these flights are a major bargain for travelers.
Here’s the current schedule from Spirit:
- Fort Lauderdale to Tulum: departs 10:20 AM – landing 11:35 AM (daily).
- Tulum to Fort Lauderdale: departs 12:05 AM – landing 3:00 PM (daily).
- Orlando to Tulum: departs 3:00 PM – landing 6:10 PM (daily).
- Tulum to Orlando: departs 2:55 PM – landing 6:05 PM (daily).
Delta Airlines
In addition, Delta Airlines will start offering a daily direct service from Atlanta to Tulum on March 28, 2024.
The Atlanta to Tulum flights are scheduled to depart at 11:00 AM and land at 1:00 PM, while the return flights from Tulum will take off at 2:25 PM and arrive in Atlanta at 5:55 PM.
Launch-date tickets are available from $196 one-way.
Aeroméxico
West Coast and Midwest travelers should consider Aeroméxico. The airline will offer new flights to Tulum starting December 1, 2023.
Flights from San Francisco and Chicago will have a layover in Mexico City. While not direct, these new flights still help make travel more accessible for American visitors.
