Riu Resorts is opening a pair of adults-only resorts in Cancun this fall. Hotel Riu Latino and Hotel Riu Palace Kukulkan open in October and November, respectively, and will offer the brand’s popular 24-hour all-inclusive service.
Riu Latino debuts in Costa Mujeres, a beachfront community 15 miles north of Cancun. Perks of the new resort include a large stretch of beach with loungers, six pools including two with swim-up bars, access to the onsite Splash Water World water park with water slides, and spacious suites, including two-bedroom rooms and coveted swim-out suites.
The resort also offers plenty of dining options ranging from a buffet restaurant with live cooking stations to à la carte Italian, Asian, and steakhouse restaurants.
Guests can enjoy a steam room, relaxation pools, and therapeutic massage treatments at the Renova Spa.
Activities at Riu Latino include water sports like kayaking and snorkeling, daily entertainment and a nightclub, and nature excursions to nearby Isla Mujeres, Isla Blanca, and Holbox.
Riu Palace Kukulkan is perched in Cancun’s hotel zone and features four pools, including one with a swim-up bar, a beach, and easy access to shopping, entertainment, and restaurants along Cancun’s popular resort strip.
The resort’s 24-hour all-inclusive pricing includes welcome cocktails and in-room mini-bars restocked regularly, meals at the main restaurant, which features show cooking stations, and à la carte restaurants which specialize in Japanese, Mexican, and Italian food. There’s also an ice cream shop, lobby bar, and a poolside grill.
Rooms at Riu Palace Kukulkan are spacious with courtyard or ocean views, and all rooms have balconies.
Guests of the new resort can enjoy relaxation pools and steam baths at the spa, plenty of water sports, excursions to popular Mayan cultural areas, and access to neighboring Riu resorts.
