Sandals Resorts International, parent company of Sandals, Beaches and Grand Pineapple Resorts, has cancelled plans to rebrand the Sandals Carlyle Inn, Montego Bay as a Grand Pineapple resort.

The intimate Sandals Carlyle Inn was one of the company’s earliest resorts and the smallest in Jamaica with just 52 rooms, offering friendly, personal service at a great value. The resort has one of the highest returning guest numbers in the industry, according to Sandals’ Chairman Gordon “Butch” Stewart.

It’s this same guest loyalty and satisfaction that led to the rebrand reversal, as Stewart notes “the rationale was sound but ultimately they spoke and we listened.”

The company is planning some upgrades for the resort.
