Sandals has announced details about the three new resorts planned for Jamaica – and we’re obsessed!
First up are the swim-up Rondoval suites at adults-only Sandals Dunn’s River, which is slated to open at the end of 2022.
These Tahitian-style suites are the first in Jamaica to offer both swim-up access to a river pool and a stylish rooftop terrace complete with loungers and a deep soaking tub.
Another first for Sandals Dunn’s River are the beachfront Skypool suites. Currently found in Barbados and Grenada, these innovative suites feature a private, solar-heated plunge pool with an infinity edge overlooking the beach.
Cascading waterfalls will welcome guests to the new Ocho Rios resort, which also boasts 10 restaurants, including a specialty rum bar inside the Latin Fusion restaurant Azuka; seven pools including two river pools; and a spa.
Guests can also access Sandals Royal Dunn’s River when it opens in 2023. This luxe new resort is being built on adjacent land.
In addition to the major development of the Dunn’s River resorts, the company is also planning a third Beaches resort on the island. Family-friendly Beaches Runaway Bay Resort will have 400 spacious suites with up to four bedrooms. Guests of Beaches Runaway Bay also have access to Runaway Bay Golf Club and its par-72, 18-hole championship golf course.
