Big news for Sandals fans! The all-inclusive resort brand has announced a major expansion in Jamaica, which will include a pair of adults-only resorts and a family-friendly Beaches resort in Ocho Rios.

The expansion plans return one of Jamaica’s most storied resorts, the Jewel Dunn’s River property in Ocho Rios, back to the Sandals family as Sandals Dunn’s River, the same moniker as when it was originally added to the portfolio in 1990.

Sandals Dunns’ River will receive a top-to-bottom renovation, while adjacent oceanfront land will be transformed into Sandals Royal Dunn’s River, a modern property with 250 luxury rooms and suites. The sister resorts will offer generous exchange privileges, giving guests a wide variety of dining and amenity options.

The former Jewel Runaway Bay Beach Resort & Waterpark will receive an extensive renovation and rebrand as the Beaches Runaway Bay Resort. Located between Ocho Rios and Montego Bay, this family resort will be the third Beaches resort in Jamaica and will feature standard suites and well as suites with multiple bedrooms.

Guests of Beaches Runaway Bay also have access to Runaway Bay Golf Club and its par-72, 18-hole championship golf course.
