Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica is continuing its expansion by adding a brand-new Chequers building with two new room categories. The low-profile building will have four stories and is available for bookings beginning December 15, 2021.

The new ground-floor swim-up suites will feature outdoor soaking tubs and swim-up pool access directly from a private outdoor patio – a Sandals first for Club Level guests at Sandals Royal Caribbean. Inside, guests will find king-sized beds, stocked mini-bars and spa-like bathrooms.

Floors two through four boast suites with deep soaking tubs on the balconies, and peaceful pool or garden views.

Club-level rooms at Sandals feature personalized concierge service and perks like private check-in, an exclusive lounge with drinks and snacks, and more.

The new Chequers building follows a series of upgrades at Sandals Royal Caribbean, including the debut of three new restaurants in late 2019 and building and pool upgrades earlier this year.

Located on the beach in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Sandals Royal Caribbean was the first resort in the Caribbean to debut over-the-water suites. The resort offers a range of luxury room categories with private pools, swim-up access, butler service and more.
