Nestled in Mexico’s Riviera Maya near Tulum, family-friendly Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal has unveiled renovations including new restaurants, expanded room categories, and swim-up suites.

The all-inclusive resort boasts 758 rooms, three pools, 15 restaurants and bars, a spa, an onsite golf course, and access to nearby Bahia Principe properties.

As part of recent renovations, Luxury Akumal has added two more rooms categories. The Junior Suite Premium fits a total of four guests (including one or two children), with a king-size bed or two double beds and a balcony or terrace.

The Junior Suite Deluxe Swim-Up suite, also made for a maximum of four people, provides direct access to a semi-private swimming pool.

The property also now includes the new gourmet restaurant KU’UK, which celebrates the importance of corn in Mayan culture while featuring a modern and sophisticated cuisine.

Pool Restaurant Tikalito has also joined the mix, offering a vibrant atmosphere for socializing, and sampling a variety of flavorful options.

Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal will also offer additional activities for both adults and children. For 4- to 12-year-olds, the fun and colorful Bahia Scouts Kids Club keeps kids entertained.

Guests can also enjoy soccer, dance lessons, karaoke, disco parties, and more. Additionally, the resort is home to two tennis courts that offer pickleball as an activity, allowing guests to play America’s currently fastest-growing sport.

Befitting its commitment to the environment, the property participates in Eco-Bahia Foundation’s marine turtle preservation program, which ensures that nesting locations are safe, monitors births, and schedules turtle release activities.
