A pair of all-inclusive Viva Wyndham resorts in Mexico’s Riviera Maya have undergone major enhancements, with restaurant renovations, revamped public spaces, and reconceptualized guest rooms. These family-friendly destinations are offering steep year-round discounts – when kids stay with two adults in a room, their rate is only $30 USD per night.

Viva Wyndham Azteca has a refurbished pool area and has undergone a full upgrade of all room categories, including its Superior Rooms, which are now outfitted with Mexican-inspired décor and boast ocean, pool, and garden views.

Guests of this property get free access to all the amenities and facilities of its sister property, Viva Wyndham Maya, which has a handful of new perks including a coffee shop and a tech-forward sports bar.

Both resorts offer guests a wide array of fun-filled activities, including dozens of land and water sports (with equipment and instruction included), such as sailing, snorkeling, windsurfing, tennis, paddleboarding, TRX, trapeze lessons for kids and adults and kids club for ages 4-12.

Along with wellness activities and pools, there are bars, restaurants, nightclubs with theme parties, and live entertainment with different performances every night of the week. Authentic cultural experiences abound, including a weekly handicrafts market, Mexican cooking classes, dance lessons, and more.

For those looking for excursions offsite, Viva Wyndham Resorts recommends:

  • Xcaret: an eco-archaeological park with plenty of activities for the family.
  • Tulum-Xel-Ha: perfect for snorkeling and exploring caves and cenotes
  • Chichen-Itza: one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site
