This scenic resort in Puerto Rico is near El Yunque Rain Forest on the island’s east coast. Located on a 300-foot cliff overlooking the ocean, it features a water park, a spa, a private island, tennis courts and free WiFi.
El Conquistador Resort isn’t a traditional all-inclusive resort, but does offer an all-inclusive plan that includes three meals a day plus drinks in select restaurants, entrance to Coqui Water Park, and access to the resort’s private island, Palomino Island.
Guest rooms at El Conquistador Resort include white linens and bright spaces with clean white walls. Flat-screen cable TV, DVD players, iPod docking stations and refrigerators are provided.
Many activities are available at the resort including horseback riding, snorkeling and other water sports. Golfing is also available at the Arthur Hills Golf Course.
El Conquistador Resort’s Coqui Water Park boasts an 8,500 square foot pool with a 25,000 square foot sundeck, water slides and a lazy river.
Dining options consist of fresh fish, traditional American dishes and Pan-Asian cuisine. Italian food is available at La Piccola Fontana, while Chops Steakhouse serves top-quality steak and Las Brisas Restaurant offers panoramic ocean views and buffet or à la carte breakfast.
How to get to El Conquistador Resort
Fly into Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU), Puerto Rico. El Conquistador Resort is located about an hour from the airport. The resort provides an airport shuttle for an additional fee.
