Consisting of five different villages with rooms ranging from the standard hotel variety to two-story villas with private boat docks, five resort pools including a pirate pool for kids and an adults-only pool, and even its own dolphin facility, Hawks Cay is a resort that truly appeals to all travelers.

Here are a few of our favorite things to do at Hawks Cay:

Kayak in the Saltwater Lagoon

The resort has its own saltwater lagoon that opens up to the ocean. Kayakers can hug the brick wall that shelters the lagoon, and then head out to the Atlantic in search of friendly sea turtles and manatees.

Or, simply relax on the beach that surrounds the lagoon – after all, beaches are a rarity in the keys.

Party by the Fire Pit

There’s a large, bright fire pit with plenty of seating for evening gatherings. Here you’ll find lots of activities, from live music to happy hours at the adjacent Beach Grill.

Swim with Bottlenose Dolphins

Hawks Cay has its own dolphin research facility, and dolphin encounters are available for all ages - either dockside or in the resort’s saltwater lagoon.

Splash in the Pool

One of five pools, the Resort Pool has music and entertainment, family games and competitions, food and beverage service, and great views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Tip: Reserve a Premium Lanai Room and you’ll have a private lounging deck just steps from either the Resort Pool or Tranquility Pool (adults only).

Hunt for Pirate Booty

This unique pool for kids has slides, water cannons and plenty of shallow areas for new swimmers.

Spend the Day at Sea

Hawks Cay Marina has 85 boat slips and can accommodate vessels up to 110 feet in length. Go fishing in some of the best waters and then dock to enjoy the resort’s amenities.

Relax in a Spacious Villa

The spacious two-story villas in Sanctuary Village have private splash pools, roomy backyards with patios, full kitchens and carports. Three- and four-bedroom villas are available.
