Book this resort for the Rondoval Suites, with round, wallaba wood ceilings and easy access to Antigua’s best beach.
Located in desirable St John’s along the northwestern coast, Sandals Grande Antigua features two different types of accommodations: the island-style Caribbean Grove with seaside cottages and charming pathways, and the luxurious Mediterranean Village, with sophisticated, high-end villas. Highlights of the resort include:
Rondoval Suites in Caribbean Grove

The Rondoval Suites are nestled among colorful foliage in the Caribbean Grove section of the resort. All Rondovals come with patio, TV, mahogany furnishings, and a personal butler. The Honeymoon Rondovals come with private plunge pools, while the Beachfront Rondovals have direct beach access.
Mediterranean Suites with Private Pools
The one-bedroom butler villa suites in Mediterranean Village have their own private plunge pools, with large, private decks. The suites have living rooms that overlook the pool deck, a king sized four-poster bed, and a bathroom with twin sinks, a whirlpool tub, and a separate rain shower.

Large Variety of Restaurants
There are 11 different dining options at Sandals Grande Antigua, including Mario’s for regional Italian, the OK Corral serving up Tex Mex favorites like chimichurri steak and pulled pork tacos, Soy Sushi Bar, Kimono’s for Pan Asian cuisine, and an assortment of cafes, beach grills, and bistros.
Antigua’s Best Beach
The resort is located on one of the island’s best beaches, Dickenson Bay. Several small, uninhabited islands and a long coral reef are just offshore, making it a prime spot for the snorkeling and diving trips organized by the resort.
Island Exploration Program
Another draw of this resort is actually on the outside. Antigua is an island filled with natural beauty, and Sandals offers local tours such as Jeep safaris around the island, ziplining through the rainforest, and catamaran tours to nearby Barbuda. The tours, organized through the popular Islands Routes, are an additional cost, but a worthwhile way to experience the island.
