Located in a nature preserve on the southern coast of Jamaica, Sandals South Coast is made up of three villages – Italian, French, and Dutch, with a central piazza surrounded by bistros and cafes. The resort boasts Jamaica’s largest pool, located in the Italian Village, and all-beachfront rooms with either patios or balconies.
Sandals South Coast was formerly known as Sandals Whitehouse Jamaica. As part of the rebranding, the resort features over-the-water bungalows connected by a heart-shaped pier, an over-water bar with floating drink service, and an over-the-water wedding chapel with a glass floor aisle.
The resort also added new swim-up Rondoval Suites, featuring private infinity-edge plunge pools that connect to Sandals’ longest river pool.

Sandals South Coast is a sleepier resort than northern neighbors in Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, but there are still plenty of nightlife options from poolside cocktail parties to lively evening beach bashes. The resort has six bars, so escaping for a quiet drink is an easy option.

Guests can choose from a variety of dining options, including the popular Bolognese at Giuseppe’s, Bouillabaisse and other French treats at Bayside, or Caribbean favorites like conch chowder and Jamaican snapper at the colorful Eleanor’s.
The resort’s restaurants have been renovated as part of the rebranding, and four restaurants have been added including a sushi restaurant on the beach and an open-air jerk shack.
